Oooooh that’s my spot!
After Years of Labor, The She Spot is Born!
Today is a great day! I am finally birthing the baby that I’ve carried for years! A fun venue to express my ideas and discuss the issues that matter to me and women like me. An open invitation to events and fun things to do. A place to celebrate one of my favorite topics – girlfriends. So its here, at the She Spot that, that I’ve carved out a little space and time to appreciate all the fabulousness, frustration and family dysfunction that most of us experience on a daily basis!
What can we expect on The She Spot?
All things girl. All things sexy. All things that girls like. This blog is a place that will celebrate women from all walks of life, products that we like, vacation spots that we want to visit and things to do that we enjoy doing. It is not a celebrity website, but we do interview people who embody sexiness and sensuality, empowerment and empoweredness and discuss how we, as women, define this. It is a site that embraces our sex and sexuality without shame or objectification. It is a place where we can love our men and honor each other. Whether it is a career woman, a wife and mother, or an empowered single woman, we will discuss What Hits the Spot of a Sexy Woman!
Why The She Spot?
I’ve had many loves in my life: My mom and Dad who thought I hung the moon; the first boy that broke my heart; the one that stole my heart and still makes me smile; and these two little people who belong to my sister. Throughout my life and all my experiences have been these important girls – now women – who have been a constant fixture through it all – my girlfriends.
They are often the glue that holds me together. Through high school, breakups, marriage, births and deaths, they’ve been there with a celebratory glass of wine, all you can eat crab leg dinners, carrying the flowers to my mom’s grave site, encouraging me to buy those shoes that I really can’t afford “but that I deserve cuz I work so hard” or supporting yet another “best business idea I’ve ever had.” And it is because of them that I AM IN LOVE WITH GIRLS! We are fabulous and catty and fierce and self-conscious and, as my husband reminds me, sometimes just insane! But I love it! All of it! And it is to all the girls in my life that I love or have loved, that I dedicate this site!
So what makes The She Spot different?
There are many sites out there dedicated to women and women’s interests; many I love and were the inspiration for The She Spot. So what makes this one so different? Not much. It’s just a place for me to share my random thoughts, experiences and observations on the world as I see it. Hopefully you will enjoy or relate to it, and join in on the conversation.
